We are in the era of getting access to the information almost without any friction. Such an excess of access has made us believe in the word ‘perfection’! We all have our own idea of what would be the perfect world around us and how we can achieve a lot of things once we are in that ideal imaginary world of ours! We, humans, have this compulsive need to make ourselves and others believe that whatever our picture of the ideal world is the only thing that can be right and even the slightest bit of change in that is leading a stressful life. Such a delusional mindset makes us all unhappy and still, we do not accept anyone else’s definition of the perfect world because of our own prejudices and beliefs. We are such complex creatures that we underestimate and overestimate ourselves at the same time. We always think that everything we see, read or listen should be profound and meaningful, but we never accept our own limitations for the understanding of profundity or meaning! We pass on judgements on almost everything and on everyone, the moment we meet someone. Our idea of doing things using our own methods and rejecting everything else creates a gap between our imagination and reality in which we should live in! Such behaviour leads us to isolation and depression. We are social animals, we want people to be pleased by us and also we want to prove that we need to accept the fact that, the universe itself was perfect until the big bang happened and humans started making a living on it. Definition of the word ‘perfection’ should not be limited to our subjective nature and mindset, rather it’s a beautiful word and should be left undefined. The day when we will start to appreciate the beauty of imperfection and how it’s the best way to coincide with the universe, we all will become happier than ever before. So, we should stop asking for flawlessness from our lives and start extolling the wonderfulness of our amiss consciousness.
